Chronology of cameras Mamiya
The addition of a selenium cell elongates the silhouette of the original Mamiya-16, but even so, this new model is very small and does not exceed the size of a pack of cigarettes.
It is possible to automatically determine the ideal aperture in setting speed. For this, you must first choose the speed and aim the subject. The meter needle moves in a window. It is then necessary to turn the wheel which is located near the window and which supports a speed scale, until the initially set speed is found in front of the needle. The aperture is automatically adjusted.
It is possible to do the reverse, i.e. determining an aperture. In this case, turn the knob near the window and to display the desired aperture value in a tiny rectangular opening at the front of the cover. By aiming the subject, the needle moves and stops at a speed value that must be copied on the speed adjustment wheel.
This model was also sold by Foto Quelle under the name of Revue-16 Automat..
